ROSHNI

They're yours. They're mine. They're OURS. They belong to all of us and it's our responsibility to ensure that the childhood which has been taken away from abused children and young people is given back before it's too late. We ask you to help us raise the awareness of child abuse once and for all so that we can be sure that, one day, no child should become a victim of abuse or neglect.

roshni's long term strategy is to play a significant role in raising the awareness of child abuse within the black and ethnic minority communities. Our aim is to primarily create amongst children and young people: awareness as to what constitutes abuse (in all its forms: physical, mental, emotional, sexual and neglect), empower children and young people to talk about and challenge this sensitive issue and promote where to access support services to children, young people and adult survivors of abuse.

roshni seek to ensure that, through its work, children and young people who are victims of any form of abuse have access to the services they require and that these services are sensitive to one’s cultural and religious needs.

We are a community based organisation serving the needs of people dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect by serving and strengthening the children and family unit. As professionals and concerned individuals of the community which we serve, we strive to provide competent, educational services that are community-based, family-focused, culturally sensitive and child-centered.
