What is a Befriender?
A befriender is someone who is specially matched to you, to do things with you that you want to do and would find difficult to do on your own.
This could simply be going out for coffee, walks, attending social engagements or community events or even just talking.
How often do I meet them?
You agree when to meet your befriender, usually once a fortnight or month.
Who are the Befrienders?
All of the Befrienders are volunteers from the minority ethnic community, aged 18 and over, with a wide range of skills, experience and interests.
The volunteer Befrienders are open-minded, non-judgemental individuals who abide by our rules on confidentiality and code of conduct.
Interested in being a befriender? Call freephone 0808 80 22 222 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
