ESF is a unique project comprising of three partners, roshni, Dundee International Womens Centre and Beyond the Veil Group. It is a culturally sensitive service which is available for minority ethnic communities and professional bodies.
Supported by the Scottish Government, ESF aims to: develop and provide support services tailored specifically to minority ethnic adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, increase awareness of childhood sexual abuse within minority ethnic communities, empower individuals and groups to talk about, report and challenge sexual abuse within their communities and promote access to existing ongoing support services for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
ESF is a national service providing confidential, culturally sensitive and multi-lingual support services to minority ethnic adult survivors of childhood abuse. These services include:
– A freephone telephone helpline
– Online resource centre
– A Group Support Programme where adult survivors can meet and share their experiences in a safe and secure environment.
Our service offers a range of training and consultancy services for mainstream organisations and professional bodies to support the provision of culture and faith sensitive services for minority ethnic survivors of childhood abuse.
Our free helpline service and counselling is available to all minority ethnic individuals and communities. It exists to ensure you gain the help you need in a faith and culturally sensitive environment.
